Consultant Nephrologist – UAE Hospital

About the role

SearchPlus HR is seeking an experienced Consultant Nephrologist to join a leading hospital in Dubai, UAE. The role involves delivering comprehensive nephrology services to patients with acute and chronic kidney conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of renal disorders, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, glomerular diseases, and electrolyte abnormalities.
• Provide dialysis care (haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) and oversee renal replacement therapy.
• Evaluate patients for kidney transplantation and deliver pre‑ and post‑transplant nephrology care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including urologists, intensivists, endocrinologists, and cardiologists.
• Educate patients and families on kidney health, treatment options, and preventive care.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Renal Medicine/Nephrology or equivalent specialist qualification accepted by UAE health authorities.
• Substantial clinical experience in nephrology, including dialysis and complex renal care.
• Eligibility for professional licensing as a Consultant Nephrologist in the UAE.

Required skills

• Expertise in managing acute and chronic kidney diseases.
• Proficiency in haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis techniques.
• Ability to interpret renal laboratory investigations and imaging.
• Strong clinical judgement in renal transplantation evaluation.
