Consultant Pediatric Emergency Medicine – Western Qualified

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant in Pediatric Emergency Medicine to join a leading private hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role involves rapid assessment, diagnosis, stabilization and treatment of emergencies affecting infants, children and adolescents within a state‑of‑the‑art emergency department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate, evidence‑based care for pediatric emergencies, including resuscitation and trauma management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Lead clinical decision‑making and supervise junior medical staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and emergency department coverage.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with Western Board Certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or Emergency Medicine with a Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, Irish or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years post‑board experience as a Consultant in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Eligibility for DHA, DOH or MOH Consultant licence (or currently licensed in the UAE).
• Previous experience in a tertiary children’s hospital or JCI‑accredited facility is preferred.
