About the role
The Sonographer will independently perform ultrasound imaging procedures, analyze results for diagnostic purposes, and report findings to senior staff. The role supports high‑quality patient care within an acute hospital setting.
Key responsibilities
- Perform all sonography procedures following departmental policies, ensuring high diagnostic quality.
- Evaluate image quality, completeness, and forward images to radiologists for reporting.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, reporting shortages promptly.
- Operate advanced ultrasound equipment, including Doppler and obstetrics/gynecology modules.
- Enter and manage imaging data in the Hospital Information System and PACS.
- Promote quality improvement, safety, and infection‑control practices.
Required profile
- Valid DOH/DHA license or passed DOH exam as Sonographer.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Sonography/Diagnostic Ultrasound (or equivalent ARDMS certification).
- 2‑3 years of hospital ultrasound experience, including Doppler, obstetrics/gynecology, and abdominal imaging.
- Fluent English (Arabic advantageous).
- Self‑motivated, able to work under pressure, and adaptable.

- Ultrasound imaging and Doppler scanning.
- Use of PACS and Hospital Information Systems.
- Inventory management of medical supplies.
- OSHA and infection‑control compliance.
