About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its advanced abdominal, gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary surgical services. Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage complex abdominal, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and endocrine surgical conditions.
• Perform open, laparoscopic or minimally invasive visceral surgery according to expertise and privileges.
• Coordinate peri‑operative pathways with gastroenterology, oncology, radiology, anaesthesia and ICU teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary surgical planning, tumour boards and complex case reviews.
• Manage postoperative care, complications, nutrition needs and long‑term follow‑up.
• Maintain surgical governance, consent, operative documentation and quality‑assurance standards.

Required profile

• Internationally trained consultant visceral surgeon with recognised specialist certification (e.g., German Facharzt, UK CCT/FRCS, US Board, Canadian Royal College, Australian FRACS, Arab Board).
• Expertise in upper GI, HPB or colorectal surgery.
• Eligibility for UAE licensing and facility credentialing.
• Willingness to work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.
