Contracts Manager – EPC Projects

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead post‑award contract administration for major offshore EPC projects in Abu Dhabi. The role will be based at the client’s or contractor’s office and will focus on safeguarding contractual entitlements and ensuring compliance with project procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead contract administration and management for assigned EPC packages.
• Act as the primary PMC liaison for contractual matters between the client, PMC team, and EPC contractors.
• Administer EPC, procurement, construction, and service contracts throughout execution.
• Ensure contractor compliance with contractual obligations, project procedures, and applicable requirements.
• Provide contractual and commercial advice to project management and multidisciplinary teams.
• Interpret contract terms, advise on rights, obligations, and liabilities.
• Manage variations, change orders, amendments, and supplemental agreements, assessing commercial impact.
• Review and assess contractor Extension of Time (EOT) submissions and related entitlements.
• Evaluate and respond to contractor claims for delay, disruption, acceleration, and productivity loss.
• Support dispute resolution, risk mitigation, and proactive commercial exposure management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quantity surveying, business administration, commercial management, law or related field.
• Extensive experience in contracts/commercial management on oil & gas EPC/PMC projects, especially post‑award administration.
• Proven ability to evaluate variations, EOTs, delay/disruption claims, and contractor commercial claims.
• Experience supporting major offshore oil & gas projects; prior ADNOC or similar offshore EPC experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and overall EPC execution.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
