Deputy Manager – Electrical

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager – Electrical to support the preparation and review of Invitation To Bid (ITB) documents, cost estimates and technical specifications for large‑scale energy projects. The role involves close interaction with vendors, internal engineering teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review ITB documents, issue inquiry requisitions and evaluate techno‑commercial vendor offers.
• Prepare equipment, material and man‑hour estimates, cost estimates, logistics and construction BOQs.
• Participate in proposal cost‑review meetings and coordinate manpower recruitment with the Head of Department.
• Guide the Electrical Engineers team, set performance criteria and develop competencies.
• Organise internal quality audits, peer reviews and ensure compliance with ISO quality procedures.
• Provide technical advice to engineers, support project control, construction and commissioning activities.
• Interact with clients and internal stakeholders on technical issues, design reviews and value‑engineering opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing electrical engineering teams and coordinating multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Strong ability to assess strengths and weaknesses of team members and recommend training.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients, vendors and internal departments.
