Contracts Manager - Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Contracts Manager to oversee contracts and commercial management for building and infrastructure projects. The role ensures strict adherence to contractual terms and manages risks effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Review, develop and enforce administrative procedures for performance within the terms and conditions of the contract
• Support project teams in monitoring and controlling the performance of contracted services so they meet project and statutory requirements
• Develop and implement contract management and administration procedures, and manage the contract lifecycle from inception to completion
• Assist in developing and implementing commercial strategy
• Draft contractual correspondence and maintain records for the administration of contractual matters
• Handle claims administration, dispute resolution and contract change negotiations, including identifying recurring claims and proposing mitigation strategies
• Maintain client relationships and deliver contractual and commercial reports as required
• Assist with contract close-out procedures before final payment to contractors, track milestones and deliverables, and advise on all contractual matters

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 12 years' experience in large infrastructure projects; roads and infrastructure experience is a must
• Consultancy experience preferred
• Experience supervising or working with supervision and project management consultants, and experience in mega projects, is advantageous

Required skills

• Knowledge of pre- and post-contract administration
• Good oral and written communication skills, able to communicate clearly with management and staff
• Desired: strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and professional membership or progress toward MRICS/RICS UAE
