Control Technician – Dubai

About the role

GECO is looking for a skilled Control Technician to join its engineering team in Dubai. You will support the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical control and protection systems on infrastructure projects, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Wire, terminate and install control and protection panels.
• Install relay and protection panels for electrical systems.
• Lay control cables and perform cable termination activities.
• Install switchgear, substation equipment and related electrical components.
• Carry out fiber‑optic and CAT‑6 cable installations.
• Support testing, pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases.
• Install capacitor banks and complete associated electrical works.
• Verify that all installations comply with project specifications and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with electrical control systems and installation work.
• Practical knowledge of control and protection panel wiring.
• Familiarity with relay and protection systems.
• Strong understanding of switchgear, substation installation, cable laying and termination.
• Experience with fiber‑optic and CAT‑6 cable installation.
• Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures.
• 2 + years of relevant experience (intermediate level).
