Customs Clearance Executive – JAFZA

About the role

Transmarine Cargo is looking for a skilled and proactive Customs Clearance Executive to support its logistics and freight forwarding operations in Dubai. The successful candidate will manage customs clearance procedures, coordinate with shipping lines, ports and government authorities, and ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations. Experience with JAFZA, mainland, free zone and bonded shipments is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities

• Manage import and export customs clearance operations.
• Prepare, review and process customs documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with Dubai Customs, Dubai Trade, shipping lines, ports and relevant authorities.
• Handle clearance procedures for JAFZA, mainland, free zone and bonded shipments.
• Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations and internal company procedures.
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve customs clearance delays or related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of customs documentation and shipment details.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely cargo movement.

Required profile

• Practical experience in UAE import and export customs clearance.
• Good knowledge of Dubai Trade and Dubai Customs systems and customs documentation.
• Familiarity with JAFZA, mainland, free zone and bonded shipments, and UAE customs regulations and clearance procedures.
• Experience liaising with shipping lines, ports and government authorities.
• Strong communication, organisation, coordination and problem-solving skills, able to manage multiple shipments efficiently.
