Data Engineer – Operational Excellence

About the role

The Data Engineer will design, build and maintain data pipelines and enterprise data models that support reporting, analytics and AI for Mediclinic Middle East. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, secure data for the Operational Excellence workstream and the Operations Command Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines and enterprise data models for Operational Excellence.
• Deliver governed data products through the Denodo access layer for reporting, command centre and AI use cases.
• Ensure data quality, security and integrity for baselines and benefit evidence.
• Follow engineering standards, document work and support data consumers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, ETL or database development; preferred 5+ years in healthcare data and data virtualization.

Required skills

• InterSystems IRIS (or HealthShare) and Denodo data virtualization.
• Microsoft Azure cloud services, Azure/AWS connectivity, and cloud security (Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender).
• Experience with cloud databases, data engineering, ETL processes and real‑time data feeds.
• Knowledge of BPMN 2.0, KPI/SLA frameworks and agile development methodologies.
