Demand Planning Specialist - Spare Parts

About the role

Otis is looking for a Demand Planning Specialist in Dubai to ensure the availability of elevator spare parts across the Middle East. The role covers demand forecasting, inventory planning, order follow-up and cross-functional coordination, working closely with the Field Service organization to anticipate future spare parts needs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and classify the spare parts portfolio by criticality, demand patterns and service needs, and partner with the Spare Parts Specialist and Field Service teams on critical parts requirements.
• Develop demand forecasts for key markets (including UAE and KSA), extract and consolidate JDE data, run ABC-XYZ analysis and translate operational needs into inventory and procurement requirements.
• Run periodic demand planning cycles, validate order quantities, review recommendations with Service teams and submit them to the Supply Chain Business Partner for approval.
• Define replenishment requirements, safety stock, reorder points and Min/Max levels, monitor shortages, excess and slow-moving stock, and drive inventory optimization.
• Track open orders, supplier lead times and shipments, escalate delays and stock-out risks, and coordinate with warehouses and logistics to resolve discrepancies and bottlenecks.
• Lead monthly Spare Parts Demand Review meetings, prepare dashboards on inventory, availability, backorders and supplier lead times, and present KPIs and corrective actions to management.

Required profile

• 5-7 years of experience in demand planning for spare parts.
• Ability to work across multiple countries and stakeholders; strong communication and coordination skills.

Required skills

• ERP systems (JDE preferred); advanced Excel, reporting and planning systems.
• Demand forecasting, inventory planning and optimization, including ABC-XYZ, safety stock, reorder points and Min/Max planning.
• Lead-time management, critical parts planning, E&O inventory control and S&OP/Demand Review processes.
• Preferred: demand planning automation, analytics and visualization tools such as Baxter and Power BI.
