Diagnostic Technician for Commercial Vehicles

About the role

The Diagnostic Technician ensures customer satisfaction by delivering high‑quality servicing and repairs on the electrical components of commercial trucks and buses. Working in United Diesel’s workshop, you will follow manufacturer specifications to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Identify customer requests and collaborate with the supervisor/foreman to refine the diagnostic process.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs according to manufacturer methods and safety standards.
• Communicate findings and progress with the foreman and assist other technicians as needed.
• Observe all safety rules for equipment, tools, and protective gear to prevent accidents.
• Prepare tools and equipment, conduct safety inspections, and complete quality control documentation.
• Carry out minor, non‑requested work that improves overall customer service.

Required profile

• Ability to analyse customer requests and work under supervision.
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to productivity standards.
• Willingness to communicate effectively with foremen and team members.

Required skills

• Electrical diagnostics for commercial vehicles.
• Reading wiring diagrams, repair manuals and parts catalogues.
• Installation and repair of wiring, electrical and electronic components.
• Use of protective equipment and safety inspection procedures.
