Director - Design & Projects Delivery

About the role

The Director of Design & Projects Delivery will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of store openings, refurbishments and infrastructure projects across the UAE, ensuring alignment with brand standards and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern project delivery strategy, capital budgeting and program prioritisation in partnership with finance and brand heads.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from concept, approvals and construction to handover and post‑opening evaluation, monitoring cost, quality, safety and schedule KPIs.
• Manage relationships with contractors, architects, consultants and principal design teams, validating design intent, BOQs and material specifications.
• Lead a multi‑disciplinary team, driving succession planning, mentorship and performance management.
• Act as the primary interface with global brand principals and provide regular updates to C‑level leadership on pipeline, risks and strategic priorities.

Required profile

• 12‑15 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multi‑site retail or hospitality expansions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture; Master’s in Project Management or MBA preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED or equivalent are advantageous.
