Director - Restaurant Experience Technology

About the role

The Director, Restaurant Experience Technology (RET) ensures that technology investments deliver measurable value for restaurant operations and the customer experience. Acting as the primary bridge between Restaurant Operations and Technology, the role drives adoption, operational readiness, rollout quality, supportability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the RET strategy, representing restaurant operations within IT and developing adoption and operational‑excellence roadmaps.
• Lead pilots, deployment readiness and training programs, establishing rollout governance and driving technology adoption across sites.
• Apply industrial‑engineering principles, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimise processes, improve throughput and enhance labour efficiency.
• Improve service reliability through root‑cause analysis, technology service management and operational governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in restaurant technology or digital transformation.

• Self‑order kiosks, kitchen display systems and digital menu boards.
• Drive‑thru technologies and restaurant mobility platforms.
• AI‑enabled restaurant technologies.
• Lean and Six Sigma process‑improvement methodologies.
