Diving Representative

About the role

The Diving Representative will ensure that all diving activities for Bureau Veritas in Abu Dhabi meet ADNOC and international safety standards. Reporting to the Team Leader/Project Manager, the role involves direct client interaction and coordination with internal technical teams to oversee safe offshore diving operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review diving CVs and evaluate team competence against project requirements and ADNOC/IMCA standards.
• Inspect diving spreads and equipment to verify compliance with ADNOC/IMCA regulations.
• Ensure dives are conducted from safe locations, with proper permits and qualified personnel.
• Assess divers’ physical condition before each dive and verify equipment suitability and condition.
• Maintain and submit required reports and records to ADNOC and internal offices.
• Develop and implement emergency and contingency procedures, and conduct post‑dive critiques to improve future operations.
• Lead job hazard reviews and toolbox meetings for the diving team.

Required profile

• IMCA Supervisor Ticket with at least 10 years of offshore diving supervision experience.
• HSE certification such as NEBOSH, OSHA or IOSH.
• Minimum three‑year university diploma.
• UAE driving licence (not mandatory) and completion of Site Safety Induction/ADNOC Offshore trainings.
• Proven experience in inspections, maintenance and construction supervision in offshore environments.
