Electrical BIM Modeler - Villa Projects

About the role

An Electrical BIM Modeler is needed to develop and maintain detailed electrical BIM models for villa projects, working closely with architects, structural engineers and other MEP disciplines. The role covers modelling, coordination, clash detection and preparation of drawings for construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP for villa projects.
• Prepare electrical layouts, shop drawings, installation drawings, sections and detailed AutoCAD drawings.
• Model and coordinate electrical services such as lighting, power, small power, cable trays, conduits, DBs and electrical containment systems.
• Coordinate electrical drawings and models with architectural, structural and other MEP disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using Navisworks.
• Prepare coordinated drawings suitable for construction and on-site installation, and update models and drawings according to site conditions, design changes, RFIs and as-built requirements.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, BIM coordinators, site engineers and installation teams, and ensure compliance with project specifications and BIM standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler or draftsman.
• Proven experience in villa projects and construction site-based work; UAE experience in villa construction projects is preferred.
• Good knowledge of residential electrical systems, including lighting, power, wiring layouts, DBs, cable trays, conduits and containment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical design drawings and prepare construction/shop drawings.
• Experience coordinating with site teams and supporting installation activities.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on expertise in Autodesk Revit MEP (electrical) and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks and multidisciplinary clash detection.
