Electrical Foreman (Fitout)

About the role

Careers International is hiring an Electrical Foreman for fitout projects in Dubai. The foreman supervises and coordinates all electrical installations, maintenance and testing, ensuring works are finished on time, within budget and to safety and quality standards. He oversees site teams, coordinates with subcontractors and liaises with project engineers and site managers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, wiring and low-current systems, in line with approved drawings and specifications.
• Allocate tasks to electricians and subcontractors, monitor daily site activity and report progress to project managers.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks, and coordinate with other trades for seamless system integration.
• Liaise with project engineers, site managers and subcontractors, attend site meetings and resolve technical issues.
• Enforce electrical safety regulations and HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with local electrical codes.
• Plan and request materials and tools in advance, manage their storage and use to minimise wastage, and keep site records.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues, give technical guidance and report major challenges with proposed solutions.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical works, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within the fitout industry.
• Excellent leadership, team management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations for electrical works.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, power distribution and low-current systems (CCTV, fire alarms, BMS).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
