Electrical Inspector - Building Construction

About the role

AECOM is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Inspector for building construction in Abu Dhabi. The role covers electrical inspections across building projects, ensuring compliance with local and international electrical codes and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough electrical inspections at rough-in, trim-out and final stages of building construction
• Verify compliance with UAE electrical codes, IEC international standards and project specifications
• Inspect wiring, panels, circuits, grounding systems and safety devices, and test systems with appropriate equipment
• Document findings in detailed inspection reports and identify code violations and deficiencies
• Communicate findings to project managers and contractors, recommend corrective actions and verify resolution
• Maintain organized inspection records, documentation and photographic evidence
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers and project teams and ensure sites follow safety protocols
• Stay current with changes in electrical codes, building standards and industry best practices

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical building construction inspection or a related field
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering
• Exceptional organizational skills and technical expertise
