Electrician & Mechanic – O&M for Pumping Stations

About the role

Six Construct is seeking qualified Electricians and Mechanics to join its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team for pumping stations. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical, instrumentation, control and mechanical equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, overhaul, repair and testing of pumps, motors, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation and automation systems.
• Conduct infrared thermographic inspections of electrical panels, MCCs, VFDs and related equipment.
• Install, wire, test and commission electrical and control system components.
• Troubleshoot faults in electrical, instrumentation, automation and control systems.
• Maintain field instruments, sensors, transmitters, actuators and control valves, including calibration and functional testing.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment such as valves, relief valves, surge vessels, OCUs, coarse screens, diesel generators and diesel pumps.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, disassemble, repair, replace and re‑assemble components, and align and commission pumps, gearboxes and associated equipment.
• Maintain diesel engines (filter replacement, oil changes) and lubricate machinery, replenishing oils, fluids and gearbox consumables.
• Read and interpret single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, loop drawings and P&IDs.
• Uphold housekeeping standards in electrical rooms, MCC rooms, control rooms and field installations while adhering to HSE procedures and company standards.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely and follow HSE procedures and company standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics (single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, P&IDs).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean and organized work areas.
