Executive Principal - Yasmina British Academy

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an Executive Principal for Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi, an English curriculum school with an Outstanding rating from ADEK. The position starts in August 2027 or sooner by appointment. The successful candidate will be closely aligned with the school's core values and understand the values of the region.

Key responsibilities

• Set the school's aims, objectives and policies, and create an educational vision and direction that supports pupil progress and improvement
• Secure parental and community commitment to a strategic plan underpinned by sound financial planning, and ensure management, finance, organisation and administration support the vision
• Produce evidence-based improvement plans from self-evaluation, encourage innovation and new technologies, and ensure compliance with ADEK and Aldar Group expectations
• Ensure all pupils receive a stimulating, safe and healthy education, with a consistent focus on progress and achievement monitored through data and benchmarks
• Develop a diverse, flexible curriculum and an effective assessment framework, and take a strategic role in emerging technologies
• Plan, delegate and evaluate staff work, run induction programmes and manage performance with key performance indicators
• Recruit high-quality staff, deploy them effectively, and advise on expenditure priorities and fund allocation
• Manage accommodation, buildings, grounds and security, and ensure health and safety procedures and risk assessments are in place
• Encourage staff training and development, and report accurately on school performance to parents, Aldar Education and others
