Facade Design Coordination Manager

About the role

The company is looking for an experienced Design Coordination Manager - Façade to manage façade design coordination for building projects. The role coordinates with architects, consultants, other project stakeholders and the in-house design team so that design requirements, technical information and revisions are accurately communicated and implemented. It is a coordination-focused position; independent production of façade designs is not required, but strong technical knowledge of façade systems and design processes is.

The company has several façade projects across the UAE, mainly in Dubai, with a mix of high-rise towers, villas, townhouses and commercial buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage façade design coordination for assigned projects, following up on and resolving design matters in a timely way
• Liaise with architects and consultants, organise coordination meetings, clarify technical requirements and follow up on outstanding comments and actions
• Coordinate façade interfaces with other contractors and disciplines to identify and resolve clashes
• Act as the main link between external stakeholders and the in-house design team, relaying requirements, consultant comments, technical information and revisions
• Proactively follow up on design issues that could affect schedule, cost or commercial outcomes
• Coordinate BIM-related activities to support design coordination and interface management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or another relevant discipline
• At least 5 years of façade design experience, including independently managing façade design coordination
• Experience with office and residential building projects
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Solid technical understanding of façade systems and design processes
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage design issues affecting timelines and costs

Required skills

• Working knowledge of BIM software and ability to coordinate BIM activities
• Coordination of BIM-related work to support design coordination and interface management

What we offer

• Salary of up to AED 20,000 per month
• Working schedule of 6 days per week, according to project requirements
