Facade Structural Engineer

About the role

The Facade Structural Engineer designs, analyzes and ensures the structural integrity of facade systems for construction projects. Working closely with architects, designers and project managers, the engineer develops safe, cost-effective facade solutions that meet regulatory and client requirements. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design of curtain walls, windows, cladding and other building envelope components using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS and SAP2000, and prepare design calculations, drawings and specifications in line with codes and standards.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers, review and approve shop drawings, submittals and design documentation, and coordinate with construction teams and suppliers.
• Develop project design plans, schedules and budgets, conduct site inspections and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards (AISC, Eurocode, ASCE), perform quality checks and maintain technical reports and records.
• Stay up to date with facade engineering advances, research innovative solutions and communicate technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field; a master's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• 5-7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on facade design and analysis; experience with high-rise buildings, commercial projects or complex facades is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
