Finance Manager – Construction Contracting

About the role

The Finance Manager is responsible for end-to-end financial management of the contracting division, with a strong focus on project profitability, cost control, billing, cash flow and financial reporting. The role partners closely with the Project, Operations and Commercial teams to protect margins and manage financial risks. The position is based in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the financial performance of multiple live contracting projects.
• Oversee budgets, cost control, cost-to-complete, WIP, accruals and project profitability.
• Drive timely billing, certifications, collections, retention recovery and clearance of uncertified work.
• Manage project cash flow forecasts and identify funding requirements.
• Support variations, claims, contract reviews, settlements and commercial negotiations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, tender financial reviews and project reporting.
• Identify financial and commercial risks and implement appropriate controls.
• Lead a lean finance team and provide financial insights to senior management.

Required profile

• 10-15 years of finance experience in construction contracting.
• Must be an ICAI-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience in project finance, cost control, cash flow and margin management.
• Good understanding of construction contracts; FIDIC knowledge preferred.
