Financial Controller – Project Cost Management (12‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee project budgets and cost control for a 12‑month outsourced assignment in Dubai. The role will work closely with project, sales and operations teams to ensure financial performance aligns with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and overhead expenses.
• Analyze budget variances and investigate cost overruns.
• Recommend and implement cost‑saving initiatives to improve project profitability.
• Prepare financial reports, cost analyses, and management presentations.
• Analyze P&L performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Forecast revenue streams and support financial planning activities.
• Monitor and analyze sales pipelines, identifying financial risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Sales, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support business decision‑making through financial insights and analysis.

Required profile

• 5–6 years of experience in cost control and project management.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and project cost management.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment, preferably in construction or related sectors.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management or cost control tools such as Primavera or Deltek.
