Financial Modelling Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Modelling Manager to lead the creation and optimisation of comprehensive financial models that support strategic decision‑making for our clients. The role combines technical modelling expertise with client interaction and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of active assignments and develop project plans, timelines and resource allocation.
• Lead the design, build and refinement of financial models, including assumptions, parameters and scenario analysis.
• Perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing to validate model outputs.
• Document model methodology, assumptions and results and maintain rigorous records.
• Discuss commercial issues with clients and ensure they are accurately reflected in models.
• Contribute to the evolution of modelling methodologies and tools.
• Lead and mentor a team of modelling professionals, providing training and performance management.
• Communicate model findings to clients and internal stakeholders in clear, non‑technical language.
• Support business development activities, including client pitches and relationship building.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of experience in a financial role within a recognised advisory practice or large corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts; an accounting qualification is a plus.
• In‑depth knowledge of Project Finance, Corporate Finance or Financial Planning.
• Degree in a numerate discipline; postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modelling.
• Experience with the FAST financial modelling standard.
