General Practitioner – Outpatient Clinic (Sharjah, UAE)

About the role

The General Practitioner will work in an outpatient clinic in Sharjah, providing primary medical care, diagnosing illnesses, and prescribing appropriate treatments. The role also includes implementing occupational health programs and supporting employee wellbeing in line with MOH and GCAA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, diagnose acute and chronic conditions, and prescribe medication.
• Order and interpret investigations, referring patients to specialists when needed.
• Manage emergency cases and perform minor surgical procedures.
• Conduct medical screenings and occupational health programs, including vaccinations.
• Maintain accurate medical records, incident reports, and employee treatment logs.
• Supervise the treatment room, laboratory, and imaging unit to ensure safety and compliance.
• Participate in audits and train medical staff to improve performance.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor degree (post‑graduate degree preferred).
• Valid UAE Ministry of Health (MOH) license.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Practitioner in a recognised healthcare setting.
• Ability to work 24‑hour shift patterns/rosters.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with database systems.
