Go/Golang Developer – Remote Contractor (10‑12 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Go/Golang developer to work remotely on a part‑time contract (10‑12 hours per week). The role involves tackling real‑world software engineering tasks that support the training and evaluation of next‑generation AI systems. No prior AI background is required – strong engineering judgment and clear technical communication are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve backend, full‑stack, infrastructure and systems code across diverse projects.
• Review, debug, and explain existing codebases, APIs, databases and services.
• Design or assess practical solutions involving integrations, testing and deployment workflows.
• Identify trade‑offs related to scalability, performance, reliability, security and developer experience.
• Document technical reasoning in writing and collaborate with the client’s team on reviews and implementation decisions.
• Rapidly adapt to new frameworks, codebases and technical requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to read and reason through unfamiliar code and to communicate engineering decisions clearly.
• Experience building or maintaining production‑grade applications, APIs or services.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, part‑time setting.

Required skills

• Go (Golang) and at least one other backend or full‑stack language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Java, C#.NET, C++, Ruby, PHP).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containers and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Angular, Vue, React Native) is a plus.
