Group Product Manager - Aviation Products

About the role

The Group Product Manager is responsible for the product discovery lifecycle and its success, identifying potential products in the aviation domain and overseeing the development of product concepts in line with commercial objectives. The role approves roadmaps, budgets and pricing for product introduction, launch and promotion, and ensures the delivery of usable, emotionally engaging and inspiring products that meet user expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the entire product backlog and delivery activities, groom development teams and respond to their queries promptly
• Guide the development team at each sprint, remove roadblocks and ensure products are delivered on time
• Ensure stories are ready before sprints, with clear acceptance criteria, and manage and prioritize the backlog with the Product Manager
• Liaise between business and development teams, review visual designs from the UX team and test cases from the QA team
• Stay up to date with market trends and competitor analysis, and monitor team performance, escalating deviations to Product Managers
• Represent ISA in client meetings and regularly solicit feedback on products and services
• Provide direction, coaching and guidance to team members and maintain a performance-driven, engaged team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent
• 12-15 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in product management, product development, technical management or a related field
• Subject-matter expertise in technical management, technical solution design and architecture
• Experience leading products through their lifecycle, managing budgets and cost estimates, and applying Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Fluent in English; PMP and PRINCE II are an added value

Required skills

• Strong technical background and thorough understanding of UI/UX design
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, comfortable with collaboration tools such as Slack and JIRA
• Proficiency in MS Office
