Head Hostess

About the role

Kitopi, a food-tech company operating a portfolio of franchised and invested F&B brands across the UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar, is hiring a Head Hostess. The role greets guests, manages seating and reservations and leads the host/hostess team.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, seat them promptly and handle reservations, waitlists and seating arrangements.
• Resolve guest complaints professionally and maintain a polished first impression of the venue.
• Supervise and coordinate the host/hostess team, train new members on greeting standards and reservation systems, and assign and monitor tasks.
• Communicate with servers, bartenders and management to manage flow, and manage booking systems such as OpenTable, Resy and SevenRooms and walk-ins.
• Keep an accurate floor plan, track table turnover and balance seating to optimize server workload.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Fluent English; proficiency in Russian or another European language is a strong advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent, strong interpersonal skills, professional appearance and ability to upsell menu items.

Required skills

• Familiarity with MS Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
