Head of AI & Data

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to define and execute the AI and data strategy for a leading private education provider in the UAE. Reporting to the Director of Digital & Technology Services, you will oversee the full data lifecycle and drive AI initiatives that improve classroom outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the organisation's AI and data strategy, governance and analytics across the full data lifecycle.
• Implement AI solutions that transform classroom learning and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Partner with executive leadership and department heads to understand data needs and priorities.
• Communicate data‑driven insights through presentations, reports and dashboards.
• Ensure data management complies with GDPR, CCPA and other data protection regulations.
• Oversee data from school information systems such as iSAMS and PowerSchool.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related field; Master's or MBA preferred.
• 10‑15+ years of industry experience, including at least 8 years in data and AI.
• Proven leadership and strategic vision with experience setting and delivering data and AI strategies.
• Commitment to safeguarding children; appointment subject to references and police clearance.

Required skills

• Strong technical proficiency in data management, governance and analytics.
• Experience with AI solution design and implementation.
• Knowledge of school information systems, specifically iSAMS and PowerSchool.
• Understanding of data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and security best practices.
