Head Of Product Strategy And Requirement Planning

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Product Strategy & Requirement Planning to lead the Global Product Marketing team for the South region. The role translates market intelligence, customer insights and regulatory trends into a clear product strategy that drives a competitive portfolio across Distribution, Vocational and Long‑Haul segments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive product strategy, portfolio planning and lifecycle management for Distribution, Vocational and Long‑Haul segments.
• Convert market intelligence, customer insights, regulatory requirements and business needs into actionable product roadmaps.
• Consolidate regional product requirements into structured specifications for Global Product Management and Engineering.
• Develop business cases, Total Cost of Ownership models, application analyses and duty‑cycle assessments to support product decisions.
• Optimize product positioning and portfolio to ensure market competitiveness and avoid cannibalisation.
• Lead cross‑functional governance forums, steering committees and decision‑making processes.
• Coach and develop a high‑performing team while ensuring compliance with Daimler Truck processes and standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product strategy, portfolio management or product planning within the automotive or heavy‑vehicle industry.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate market data into strategic initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across regional and global teams.
• Leadership experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams.
