Heavy Duty Driver (License 3 & 4)

About the role

The driver transports vehicles from the docks to the pre-delivery centre and then to showrooms across the UAE, optimising routes and keeping health and safety standards in place for the driver, equipment and goods. The role also covers maintenance and cleaning of the recovery vehicle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and clean the recovery vehicle daily and service it regularly according to manufacturer and Al Tayer requirements.
• Collect vehicles from the docks and PDI centre and deliver them to showrooms across the UAE, following the schedule given by the Fleet Coordinator.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and in line with procedures and safety standards, protecting the vehicles, the recovery unit and the public.
• Check each vehicle for damage such as scratches and dents, record it on the collection/delivery document before loading and after unloading, and obtain customer signatures.
• Obey traffic rules and stay alert while driving to avoid accidents.
• Keep up to date with UAE roads and locations to choose the best routes.

Required profile

• Heavy truck licence (No. 4) and light vehicle licence (No. 3).
• High school or O'Levels.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
