About the role

Five Hotels and Resorts is hiring a Painter in Dubai for its hospitality business. The role keeps the hotel's interior and exterior surfaces looking pristine and clean, from preparation through to finishing and polishing. Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding and applying primer as necessary
• Apply paint, varnish or other finishes with brushes, rollers or sprayers, ensuring an even coat and brand standards
• Polish wood, metal, glass and other surfaces to restore shine and remove imperfections
• Mix paints and stains to match existing colours or specified schemes, and keep accurate records of colours and finishes used
• Repair minor surface damage such as cracks, holes and scratches before painting or polishing, and coordinate with Team Maintenance for larger repairs
• Follow safety regulations when handling paints and solvents, ensure ventilation and use of personal protective equipment
• Maintain painting and polishing equipment, perform routine inspections and cleaning, and inspect finished surfaces
• Touch up areas as needed, manage time to meet deadlines and coordinate with other departments

Required profile

• Diploma or a related qualification preferred
• Proven track record in a Painting/Polishing role in hospitality
• Extensive knowledge of painting and polishing work
• Teamwork and collaboration skills, proactive nature and an eye for detail
• Hands-on attitude and ability to meet deadlines with minimal disruption to hotel operations
