HSE Supervisor - Taziz Methanol Project

About the role

Samsung E&A, a specialized EPC company covering oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, energy transition and industrial sectors, is hiring an HSE Supervisor for its Taziz Methanol project in Abu Dhabi. The role is responsible for safety control during engineering and construction, as well as pre-commissioning and commissioning, and supervises HSE officers on site.

Key responsibilities

• Create, evaluate and administer company HSE policies and procedures, and implement the company's HSE program
• Conduct audits and inspections of the HSE system and ensure compliance with organizational and government HSE standards
• Supervise HSE officers, coordinate with subcontractors, site workers and the site client, and generate regular reports
• Prepare, maintain and communicate HSE records, statistics, manuals and procedures
• Prepare the project-specific safety, health and environmental plan, task risk assessments and toolbox talks
• Take part in PSSR pre-startup safety reviews, SIMOPS meetings and emergency response team drills
• Support the permit-to-work system and company-wide initiatives such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 18001

Required profile

• HSE Supervisor experience in construction safety
• Project-based safety control experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry
• ERT member knowledge for incidents, chemical spills, fires, working at height and confined space, plus PSSR and plant shutdown knowledge
• Good management, leadership and communication skills

Required skills

• NEBOSH certification (IGC1, IGC2 and IGC3)
• ISO 45001 certification in the construction industry
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
