HVAC Technician – Luxury Hotel in Dubai

About the role

The JW Marriott Marquis Dubai is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to ensure the smooth operation of its extensive heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems across the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain HVAC, air‑quality control and refrigeration equipment including boilers, chillers and air handling units.
• Charge refrigeration systems, replace air filters, clean coils and test water quality in boiler and condenser loops.
• Activate valves, adjust combustion air supplies and control fuel flow to burners.
• Perform minor plumbing and mechanical works related to HVAC systems.
• Monitor BMS terminals, switches, gauges, alarms and safety devices to detect leaks or malfunctions.
• Participate in energy‑conservation programmes and assist with banquet‑area electricity and AC management.
• Document all work performed, maintain a clean engineering area and support the hotel emergency response team.

Required profile

• Technical background in HVAC, refrigeration or mechanical engineering.
• Ability to work safely, follow SOPs and attend safety training.
• Team‑oriented with good coordination with other engineering staff.
• Commitment to high hospitality standards and guest satisfaction.

Required skills

• HVAC system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Refrigeration system charging and coil cleaning.
• Boiler and chiller operation and water‑quality testing.
• Valve operation and basic plumbing.
• Building Management System (BMS) monitoring.
