Implementation Director

About the role

Visa is seeking an Implementation Director to lead the enterprise transformation program for a major banking client in the GCC region. The role oversees the full lifecycle from contract signing through delivery, mobilization, go‑live and scaling, ensuring the client’s strategic objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Own executive stakeholder alignment and program governance across the client lifecycle.
• Coordinate delivery quality, time‑to‑value and risk management in partnership with Sales, Product, Engineering, InfoSec and other internal teams.
• Lead large‑scale implementation and certification of payment switches such as Jaywan and AEP Switch in the UAE.
• Drive adoption of cloud‑based microservice architectures, REST/JSON APIs and data‑streaming solutions.
• Build and mentor high‑performing delivery teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in technology‑driven financial services, with a strong focus on large‑scale implementation and transformation projects for fintechs or banks.
• Proven track record delivering multi‑market projects on time and within scope using Agile, Lean or hybrid methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to forge trusted relationships with C‑level executives and cross‑functional partners.
• Educational background in solutions architecture or software engineering; advanced degree preferred.

Required skills

• Payments ecosystem knowledge in GCC, specifically Jaywan and AEP Switch implementation.
• Cloud platforms and microservice architecture.
• REST/JSON APIs and data streaming.
