Industrialization and Supplier Development Engineer I

About the role

This early‑career position supports supplier development and industrialization for POWERTECH propulsion programs, covering turbofan, microjet and piston engines. You will combine structured engineering tasks with hands‑on exposure to aerospace manufacturing at supplier sites.

Key responsibilities

• Assist supplier process assessments, collect technical data, and support site visits.
• Prepare supplier assessment reports, development actions and gate evidence.
• Track development actions, maintain status records, and prepare work instructions, routings and operation sheets.
• Conduct time studies, cycle‑time measurements, and gather manufacturing data.
• Support process capability studies, measurement‑data analysis, and capacity modelling.
• Draft technical reports, presentations and status updates.
• Review supplier manufacturing documentation, and aid FAI and PPAP readiness.
• Participate in first‑off part reviews, process validation, root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action tracking.
• Coordinate activities among suppliers, Engineering, Supply Chain and Product Quality Engineering.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience; internships or graduate placements are a plus.
• Foundational knowledge of machining and sheet‑metal manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings with basic GD&T understanding.
• Familiarity with inspection, non‑conformance handling and root‑cause analysis.
• Strong data‑analysis and technical‑reporting capabilities.
• Willingness to spend significant time on shop floors and supplier sites.
