Inventory Controller - Logistics

About the role

Al Tayer Insignia, the luxury retail division of Al Tayer Group, is hiring an Inventory Controller for a 1-year fixed-term contract in Dubai. The role manages and monitors inventory and stock holdings so that system stock issues are kept to a minimum, controls stock movement and formulates policies and procedures to keep discrepancies low. It covers both strategic inventory management and day-to-day warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Custodian of business inventory: warehouse storage optimization, ABC analysis, heat map analysis and implementation
• Run stock loss action plans after cycle counts, with the Loss Prevention Team, and track damages in the warehouse with inbound and outbound operations
• Investigate inventory discrepancies found during cycle counts or picking and fix them within set timelines
• Oversee stock transfers between warehouses, to stores and back, and keep them recorded and up to date
• Coordinate with suppliers and buying on returns, and track warehouse logs, credit notes and RTV adjustments
• Pass credit notes, write-offs and adjustments through the system and report to finance
• Manage the perpetual stock take calendar, monthly shrinkage reporting and expiry product identification
• Oversee physical stock counts, reconcile figures against physical movements and prepare reports with recommendations
• Coach and develop reportees, review operations from a risk management view, and maintain HSE practices

Required profile

• Graduate with excellent knowledge of warehousing and inventory management
• 3-5 years of experience in warehousing and inventory management, including e-commerce retail
• English language

Required skills

• Computer literacy and excellent MS Excel skills
• Good knowledge of Oracle WMS preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
