IT Support Engineer

About the role

Horizon English School is seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide seamless technology support across the campus. You will manage day‑to‑day IT activities, maintain digital assets and deliver help‑desk assistance to staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support via the service desk, logging and prioritising incidents in line with SLAs.
• Maintain user accounts and Microsoft 365 services, and support classroom and online teaching technologies.
• Perform routine hardware and network maintenance, monitor infrastructure availability and troubleshoot desktops, laptops and servers.
• Deploy operating system images, manage Windows and Apple devices through Intune, Windows Autopilot and JAMF, and administer endpoint security.
• Support AV equipment (smart boards, projectors, Apple TVs) and coordinate with vendors for escalations.
• Configure print management, access control, CCTV and telephone systems, and work with the network team on Wi‑Fi and internet issues.
• Maintain cyber‑security controls, documentation, inventories and procurement processes.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of IT support experience, preferably in an education environment.
• ITIL Foundation certification and strong English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and provide excellent customer service.

Required skills

• Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019 and Active Directory.
• Microsoft 365 administration (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Forms).
• MDM platforms – Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, JAMF, Apple School Manager.
• Print management solutions (Xerox/Canon, PaperCut).
• Audio‑visual equipment support (smart boards, projectors, Apple TVs).
• Telephone system support and basic Cisco Meraki and Fortinet firewall knowledge.
• Endpoint security/anti‑virus solutions and familiarity with CIS security controls.
