Junior Accountant

About the role

A Dubai-based company is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its finance team. The role supports daily accounting operations, manages financial transactions, oversees expense records and follows up on customer collections. The position is full-time, based in Dubai, and the application deadline is 31 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Record and post accounting transactions accurately from start to finish.
• Maintain financial records and support daily accounting operations.
• Manage petty cash and process employee expense reimbursements.
• Follow up on customer collections and outstanding payments.
• Manage post-dated cheques (PDCs) for tenants.
• Assist with financial reporting and accounting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal company procedures, and complete tasks within deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE.
• Understanding of bookkeeping, financial transactions, VAT regulations, petty cash and expense management.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and analytical skills, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with Odoo is preferred.
