Junior Data Analyst

About the role

Udrive is looking for a curious, analytical and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to support its growing data analytics function in Dubai. The role focuses on business performance reporting, data analysis, dashboard development, data quality and process automation across commercial, operational and customer-related functions. It reports to the Data Analyst / Analytics Lead and works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to turn complex datasets into actionable insights, with opportunities to contribute to data modelling, automated reporting pipelines and the future analytics infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and monthly performance reports on revenue, trip activity, fleet utilisation, customer acquisition and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards for management and operational teams, monitor KPIs and investigate unexpected changes.
• Analyse customer behaviour, fleet performance and operational trends, run ad-hoc analyses and assist with forecasting, customer segmentation and retention analysis.
• Write and optimise SQL queries, validate data accuracy and maintain reusable queries and documented business logic.
• Identify repetitive reporting tasks and build basic automation workflows using SQL, Python, Excel or other tools; document them and support pipeline improvements.
• Support data modelling, centralised datasets and data warehousing, and collaborate with the technical team on data quality and reporting performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships, academic projects or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving and attention to detail, with clear communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and understand business processes.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of SQL, including joins, aggregations, subqueries and common table expressions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and lookup functions.
• Working knowledge of at least one analytical or visualisation tool, preferably Tableau or Power BI.
• Basic Python for data analysis or automation, or demonstrated ability to learn it.
• Preferred: PostgreSQL, pandas and NumPy, SQL window functions, ETL/ELT exposure, cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, ClickHouse), Git, APIs, and exposure to mobility, transportation or consumer-platform businesses.
