Junior Planning Engineer

About the role

A leading contracting company in Dubai is looking for a Junior Planning Engineer to support project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and reporting on high-rise building, riverton and villa projects. The role helps the project team ensure timely completion of construction activities and keeps project schedules accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and updating project schedules using planning software.
• Support the Planning Manager/Project Manager in monitoring project progress.
• Track site activities and compare actual progress against planned schedules.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Collect site updates and coordinate with engineering and construction teams.
• Help identify project delays and support corrective action plans.
• Maintain project documentation, schedules and progress records.
• Support preparation of manpower, material and resource planning.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors and consultants for project updates.
• Assist in preparing project presentations and progress dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Planning Engineer or Junior Planning Engineer on construction projects.
• Experience in high-rise, residential and villa projects preferred; UAE construction experience is an advantage.
• Good analytical, reporting and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Primavera P6 / MS Project is required.
• Basic knowledge of project planning, scheduling and construction activities.
