Laboratory Team Leader – Fragrance Creation & Application

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Team Leader to oversee our Fine Fragrance Creation & Application laboratories. Based in a collaborative lab environment, you will ensure smooth daily operations while supporting creative, development and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of the Application and Creation laboratories.
• Define priorities aligned with creative, development and sales needs.
• Provide expert technical support to internal teams and external customers.
• Act as primary contact for specific customers or projects.
• Investigate stability or application issues and develop tested solutions.
• Maintain and share technical documentation, methodologies and protocols.
• Supervise, coach and mentor a team of laboratory technicians.
• Plan, organise and optimise team workload to meet business objectives.
• Support HR processes including performance management, development and succession planning.
• Promote a safety‑first, quality‑focused, continuous‑improvement culture.

Required profile

• Degree or higher qualification in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a laboratory or technical environment.
• At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising laboratory teams.
• Strong technical expertise combined with people‑leadership skills.
