Land Surveyor - Marine

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Land Surveyor to join its team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves performing field work as part of a survey crew carrying out various surveying activities, including marine works.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings and documents related to marine, roads and infrastructure works.
• Supervise survey-related works and perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations.
• Interface with clients and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
• Complete surveying requirements on schedule, within man-hour and cost budgets.
• Check setting-out and levels, and check service locations and ensure their protection.
• Prepare sketches to support field work and maintain field books, sketches and calculations.
• Measure work done when required and assist in preparing as-built drawings.
• Observe site safety procedures and take part in health and safety issues at site as required by the Resident Engineer and project Safety Representative.

Required profile

• Diploma or associate degree in Land Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in infrastructure and marine projects; UAE experience with a consultant preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English; ability to attend in-person interviews.
• GCC experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of, or experience with, CAD software and survey software.
• Experience with total stations, data collectors and GPS equipment.
• Ability to interpret construction specifications and understand construction processes.
• Computer literacy, including generating reports and accessing data.
