- Take part in every phase of the performance engineering lifecycle for products in an agile release train.
- Review solution designs and architectures, and suggest improvements to performance and reliability.
- Work with architects and product owners to keep NFR backlogs and define NFRs for features and epics.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to design workload models, and update them regularly.
- Help investigate and resolve performance and availability issues to reduce defects reaching production.

- 3+ years leading performance engineering practices for web, mobile and desktop products.
- Proven expertise in performance tuning and optimization, and strong ability to review application architecture.
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture concepts and trends.
- Experience building realistic workload models from logs, APM data, metrics and user behaviour, and deriving concurrency levels and traffic distribution from production telemetry.
- Comfortable working across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), on-premises or hybrid environments, with Kubernetes, containerization and orchestration.
- In-depth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, and familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD performance gates.
Required skills
- Proficiency with profiling tools such as YourKit and JProfiler.
- Load testing tools such as LoadRunner, Gatling and JMeter, and client-side tools such as Sitespeed.io, WebPageTest and Lighthouse.
- Monitoring and observability: APM, infrastructure monitoring, Open Telemetry, logging and tracing.
- Preferred: resiliency testing and chaos engineering, capacity planning, service virtualization, IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation), and Operational Acceptance Testing.
