Lifecycle Projects Manager

About the role

The Lifecycle Projects Manager will lead the planning, delivery and handover of replacement, refurbishment, upgrade and asset improvement projects across the NYU campus. The role ensures that building assets and systems are maintained, renewed and enhanced in line with client requirements, budgets, HSE standards and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain lifecycle plans for building assets, reviewing condition reports and prioritising works based on criticality, compliance and cost.
• Manage projects from initiation to completion, preparing scopes, schedules, budgets, risk assessments and method statements.
• Coordinate execution with internal teams, consultants, contractors and suppliers, ensuring safety, quality and on‑time delivery.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost estimates and financial performance, identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Review technical proposals, drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with client, statutory and HSE requirements.
• Provide regular updates, progress reports and risk logs to stakeholders while minimising disruption to campus operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, project management or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in facilities or asset management, with at least 5–7 years of hands‑on lifecycle project planning and delivery.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (MEP, civil works), HSE, quality and commissioning processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and stakeholder expectations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CAFM or other project management systems.
• Project planning, scheduling and cost control expertise.
• Ability to review technical scopes, drawings and specifications.
