Loss Prevention Supervisor

About the role

The Loss Prevention Supervisor at an Autograph Collection property in Dubai patrols the premises, secures rooms and assists guests with room access. The role covers safety inspections, investigations, key control audits, monitoring of CCTV and alarms, and handling emergencies, while also supporting staff development and guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property, secure rooms and assist guests with room access
• Conduct emergency response drills, daily physical hazard and safety inspections, investigations, interviews and key control audits
• Monitor closed-circuit television and alarm systems, and authorise, monitor and document access to secured areas
• Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid and CPR as required, and gather information and complete reports
• Defuse disturbances, resolve safety hazards, handle interruptions and complaints, and escort unwelcome persons from the property
• Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws and call for assistance using proper code responses
• Assist management in training, motivating and coaching employees, and act as the first point of contact for the Open Door Policy process
• Welcome guests, anticipate their service needs and thank them sincerely

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience
• No license or certification required; some states may have additional licensing requirements

Required skills

• Ability to read and verify information in various formats and visually inspect tools and equipment
• Use of computers and point-of-sale systems
• Physical ability to stand, walk or move for long periods, and to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
