Maintenance Planner – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to support an oil and gas plant in Dubai. The role will coordinate shutdown, turnaround and preventive maintenance activities, ensuring plant integrity, safety and availability while controlling costs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the overall turnaround schedule, identify major milestones and critical path jobs.
• Determine job sequences for daily, unplanned shutdowns and turnarounds, coordinating with operations, maintenance supervisors and engineers.
• Verify schedule accuracy, track progress, and report challenges.
• Prepare work scopes, work packs (P&ID, isometric, GA drawings, data sheets, blind lists, Inspection Test Plans) in collaboration with other departments.
• Generate and release work orders through the CMMS, manage material reservations and spare‑part availability.
• Create purchase requisitions for non‑stock items and liaise with the purchasing team.
• Ensure all required tools, equipment and materials are on‑site before job execution and handle excess material returns.
• Produce statistical maintenance and technical reports, and keep annual planned maintenance data up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related discipline).
• Familiarity with international standards and petroleum/petrochemical plant equipment.
