Manager - Risk and Control

About the role

ADCB is looking for an ambitious professional to join its Group Business Support (GBS) team in Dubai. The role covers operational risk, controls and business continuity for assigned areas within GBS, managing the implementation of risk assessments, control testing, due diligence and loss reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the implementation of internal operational risk assessments and policy frameworks with key result indicators, so that risk is independently assessed, captured, monitored and mitigated.
• Oversee the risk and control self-assessment programme, including control testing and deployment, in line with the Bank's Operational Risk policies.
• Oversee due diligence reviews and challenge sessions to ensure the robustness of the process and controls.
• Track operational loss reporting, booking and tracking in consultation with GORM so that Operational Risk requirements are met.
• Oversee the GBS business continuity management (BCM) framework, including impact assessments, recovery sites and disaster drills.
• Manage and supervise the team, ensuring targets, objectives and the business plan are delivered in line with the Bank's policies and procedures.

Required profile

• At least 6 years of experience in operations or banking services, with at least 3 years in risk management.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a similar field.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Required skills

• Excellent working knowledge of the MS Office suite.
• Working knowledge of banking systems.
• Analytical and logical thinking skills.
