MCV Draftsman – Marine Drafting Specialist

About the role

The MCV Draftsman will support P&O Maritime Logistics by creating detailed engineering drawings for vessel stowage, sea fastening, and modification projects. This role combines technical drafting expertise with marine engineering knowledge to deliver accurate, compliant designs.

Key responsibilities

• Review project technical requirements and select optimal stowage and MCV from the fleet.
• Prepare sea‑fastening, lashing, structural steelwork, mooring, ramp and berthing arrangement drawings, including simulations.
• Develop load‑out and load‑in sequence drawings aligned with operational needs.
• Provide technical support to the commercial team for MCV deployment strategies.
• Ensure compliance with established procedures and technical guidelines.
• Create standardized drawing templates and assist engineers with drafting support.
• Support business units with engineering drawings for vessel modifications and assist the line manager with technical tasks.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Drafting or Marine Drafting.
• Minimum 3 years experience in heavy‑lift or marine engineering drafting.

Required skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting.
• Knowledge of Rhino software (plus).
• Strong understanding of marine vessels, barges, offshore units and Ro‑Ro operations.
